About BEAM

BEAM (The Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to dismantling barriers to Black healing. We center mental health education, training, advocacy, and the creation of supportive spaces that empower Black communities to access mental health resources. BEAM fosters a culture of healing, liberation, and well-being through transformative practices and resources, with a mission to advance mental health and emotional wellness in Black communities.

What We’re Looking For

Compensation

To support a sustainable work-life balance, we offer a virtual workplace, competitive salaries, health benefits, flexible time off, and more. Full details will be provided in any specific job offer, but as of November 2024, our benefits include:

  • 4 day workweek
  • Health Insurance with 80% contribution by BEAM and 20% contribution by the employee
  • 21 days of PTO annually (increased to 24 days on your first anniversary of working at BEAM)
  • Annual Summer, Fall, and Winter Breaks
  • 13 Paid Holidays annually
  • 10 days of wellness leave annually
  • 7 days of bereavement leave annually
  • 401k with employer match of up to 3%
